About Sled Rider
Sled Rider is a downhill game played from just behind the sled. Press to start and the sled picks up speed at once on a low-poly slope lined with pine trees and dark rock walls. A meter counter in the top left corner shows your distance, and a gift counter in the top right tracks what you have collected. A short tutorial sets out the three controls at the start of the run: left and right arrows to steer, up arrow to jump.
A crash doesn't have to end the run straight away. A Continue screen with a countdown lets you spend 50 gifts to carry on, or skip to finish, and a new player started with 250 gifts in our test. Sled Rider looks and plays much like Slope Rider, as both load from AZ Games, so if you enjoy one you will feel at home in the other. The menu also has a settings button, a player name and a shop.

Tips from our play-testing
- Click inside the game before using the keys, so that it receives your key presses.
- The tutorial stays over the slope while the sled is already moving, and it cleared once we started using the arrow keys. Don't wait for it before steering.
- A new player started with 250 gifts in our test. At 50 gifts per continue, that pays for five second chances.
- Our test runs that held a steering key for more than half a second ended within seconds, so try short taps instead.
The game's own on-screen controls take priority. Touch support can differ between builds.
